What counts as “net”?
Verified gross contributions converted to a documented USD reference, minus processor fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes or tax reserves, and other disclosed project costs.
Payment amounts are selected in USD. PayPal charges USD directly; Mercado Pago shows and charges the exact MXN equivalent using the latest available Banco de México FIX series SF43718. That dated MXN quote is recorded with the contribution and reused for its approval, refund or chargeback so later exchange-rate movement does not rewrite the accounting history.
Taxes / tax reserve starts at zero. It changes only through an explicit accounting adjustment. Nothing here guesses tax obligations.
